Art is the bridge between two worlds;

the one we perceive with our 5 senses, and the one that lives in our imagination. Art transcends the human condition carrying us into another dimension somewhere deep within the heart of mankind. For me, the artistic process and being out in the natural environment carry me to a common end – I am drawn into the creative process of my art as well as the deep recesses within my soul where I transcend both time and space.

Creating is a complete harmonious experience for me that parallels few others. Having the ability to put paint to canvas gives me this avenue of self-expression. The play of colors and textures ignites a type of energy where spontaneity meets deliberate decision. Being part of this process as it unfolds is very exciting.

My images are selected from peak moments when nature reaches out to me in a truly personal and spiritual way. These special moments capture my attention and cause me to pause and take notice – breathtaking vistas, the energy of the early morning sun light, unforeseen encounters with wildlife, or the simple glow of a blooming flower that calls me to its delicate and fragile beauty.

In sensing the spirit of my subjects I am able to feel their essence in a truly unique and private way. It is here where I discover the nature of my subject as it in turn reaches out to me to know and understand it. An inner dialog reveals the power and the majesty of every living thing. This exchange urges me to be creative through that bridge. I give thanks every day with a feeling of gratitude for the privilege of these precious encounters.
